I recently was able to get my hands on couple of Bee knives, the El-01 and the EL-02, I did my research before getting them, the opinions I saw were at both sides of the spectrum, some hate them because they are Chinese made, because they copy existing designs, or because the steel is too soft, the other site love them because they are cheap as hell, if you research the steels you can get a semi decent steel, you can beat the hell out of them.
The reason I picked these two is simple, they use the steel 8CR13MOV, which you can find in several brand knives, including the Spyderco Tenacious, Resilience, Ambitious, Persistence, which I own and love, they take a beating and you can get them back to scary sharp in no time.
